Mad Squirrel was born one morning when I witnessed a squirrel bravely harassing a Barred Owl who had landed on a branch of one of our park’s large oak trees. I took a few shots of the action with my zoom lens but neglected to adjust the camera’s settings properly. Alas, the owl had red eyes when downloaded to my laptop. Hence the first adventure, Mad Squirrel and the Red-Eyed Owl. I haven’t written any new Mad Squirrel adventures in a while but I’m very fond of him. I think he will be venturing out again soon.
